Pont Du Amoureuse

Happy Friday to you all! Today’s post is brought to you from Paris’ Pont Du Amoureuse, or, the Love Lock Bridge. It’s where couples, friends, family, etc. from all around the world put their locks and throw their keys into the river Seine as a symbol of love. Only a short walk from my school, this has to be one of my favorite spots in Paris. This week I enjoyed my lunch on a bench in the middle of the bridge, looking out over the water and watching couples adding their own locks. It was truly a lovely experience, and I hope to make it a tradition. Especially now that most of the tourists have started to go home, spots like this have once again become more bearable. If you ever are a tourist in Paris though, I highly recommend coming and just sitting at this spot. It’s in an incredible area of Paris; I could personally watch boats, people, and the beautiful buildings for hours on end. Anyways, hope you enjoy this post, and that you as well took some time this week to enjoy the beauty of the world around you. Outfit details are below!

If you guys remember my outfits well, I’m sure that by now you have realized that I have worn a variation of this outfit before. However, I wanted to show it to you guys again because now I have found a way to transition it into fall/winter weather. By simply adding a jean jacket, my Betsy Johnson overcoat, some tights and boots, a shirt and a mini-skirt have become cold weather friendly. Don’t be afraid to play with layers in the fall! This is the time to do it, seeing that temperatures can fluctuate quite a bit during the day anyways. Also, I hope you can see that you can make the same basic outfit pieces look completely different in another look. Because let’s be real here: most of us don’t have even close to enough money to only wear each outfit once!

Also, no more Love Locks! The bridge started to collapse this summer, and the authorities are getting pretty strict about putting extra locks on the bridge. That’s why you see the ugly wood paneling in these pictures. :( It’s really too bad, but a part of me understands as well. The bridge needs to stay safe for pedestrians!

Outfit details:

Bralette: Brandy Melville // T-shirt: H&M // Skirt: Zara // Tights: Uniqlo

Jean Jacket: Vintage // Coat: Betsy Johnson // Boots: Andre Paris // Bag: Longchamp

Watch: Fossil // Necklace: Vintage // Bracelets: from my travels

Thank you so much for reading! Personally, I am exhausted and can’t wait to get to sleep after hitting the publish button. But you guys are worth the late nights :) Wishing you all a happy Friday and a wonderful weekend!

Lovely picture and I adore your outfit! Really a shame that no more locks are allowed but it’s true there are many bridges with locks so they are some more places to hang up a lock :-)

Hi Julia! I have heard of the bridge and have friends who are currently on exchange in France tell me all about it! It looks lovely :) Also, I absolutely love your outfit! I am a huge fan of denim myself and I think you pulled it off very well. Especially love how the colour of the bag goes with the look overall! Hope you have a lovely weekend :) xx
