The Blue Mini Skirt

IMG_2664

Hello my lovely readers! Lately I’ve been studying two subjects pretty hard: French, and Paris style. The French is coming along well, je parle un petit peu français, mais j’étudie beaucoup :) Paris style on the other hand…well let’s just say I’m trying! Parisian style is all about smart styling of basics. That’s why I kept my outfit pretty simple with my new (favorite) blue mini skirt from Zara, and a simple white tshirt. Not pictured, but present, was a green utility jacket. The look of layering a big frumpy coat over a sleek outfit is pretty in right now. And I think it worked very well! After taking these photos, I met up with a visiting friend for dinner (had the best “steak-frites” at a place called Le Relais de Venice, an absolute must if you are ever visiting) and he didn’t even recognize me right away, because “I looked French”. C’est parfait! Click through for more Paris recommendations from that day, and additional outfit photos. Enjoy!

The day these photos were taken was spent exploring the area around Champs Elysees. Originally, a friend and I had headed over to this area in hopes of catching the Air France exhibit, however, we decided to skip it after seeing the two hour wait. Instead, we headed over to L’Arc De Triomphe. The views from up top were stunning, and I highly recommend heading up. It was free as well, and we only waited about 5 minutes. These photos were taken both from the top, and in front of the famous arch.

Later on in the day, I also ended up stopping by Laduree. You can read all about my experience here!
