Hello my lovely readers! Today’s post is all about the Influenster Vox Box I received in the mail. Influenster is a website that sends you products to try, completely free. All you have to do in return is simply check in online when you receive your products and take a mandatory survey reviewing the product! Find the website here. I highly recommend it, I’ve received several boxes from the website, and have never had any problems what-so-ever!
This time around Influenster (or should I say Mary Kay) was very generous. What Vox Boxes are are goodies put together by a company, and then sent to people whose interests they meet. I qualified for this box because I stated on my profile that I love makeup! Mary Kay is one such company, and sent me 9 products that I am mostly happy with so far (always honest!!). Check out their website here, and individual products will be linked below. This post is more of an overview, with individual reviews to come as I try more products out! A full face of makeup was included (minus foundation and concealer) and that will be coming up in another post as well.
I was really excited to receive these first two products. I’m always in need of new brushes, seeing that my current collection is pretty limited. I’ve yet to get much use out of the powder brush, but so far I love the cream eyeshadow/concealer brush. I highly recommend it, the bristles are strong and thick, and it really packs on product!
In the package, I also found the Mary Kay Translucent Loose Powder. The information that came with my package claims that it “controls unwanted shine all day,” and the website states that “it’s every woman’s perfect shade”. The packaging itself is nice (reminds me of the Bare Minerals Foundation powder). I haven’t used this on my face yet, but I can attest to the fact that that white powder does end up going on clear.
This is the Mary Kay Lash Love Mascara in I ♥ Black. It is described as mascara that “defines, defends and delivers four times the volume.” Personally, I have not had much luck with it so far. My lashes appeared clumpy, and by the time I got to lunch each day there was slight smearing under my eyes. That being said though it isn’t terrible, just not the perfect one for me!
Following, I also got the Mary Kay Gel Eyeliner with an Expandable Brush Applicator in Jet Black. I was really excited to get this one, as eyeliner is my daily go to makeup look. I haven’t had the chance to try it out yet, but more to come soon!
After only owning this Creme Eye Color in Apricot Twist for a few weeks, it has quickly become one of my holy grail products. I love it!! The color is beautiful, and as advertised it’s long-wear and stays put all day. In depth review to come soon, this is a product you absolutely must try. I know it will be traveling with me all summer!!
After already being generous with the eye makeup, this box didn’t skimp on lips either. It included this Nourishine Plus Lip Gloss in Mango Tango. I haven’t had a chance to wear it yet, but fear not review and full swatches coming soon!
Lastly, this Vox Box was also giving when it came to face products. First up is this Mineral Cheek Color in Shy Blush. Although I haven’t worn the blush yet, the swatch was so beautiful that I had to share an extra individual picture. It reminds me of NARS’ Orgasm blush. It’s not shimmery, but has more of a golden sheen to it. I love it, and hope it wears as well as it swatches!
And, rounding out this impressive lineup of products is the Bronzing Powder (mine is in Light/Medium). This does have a bit of distinct shimmer to it, which is not something I usually find in bronzers. Once again, more detailed reviews to come!
