Lost In The California Desert: A (very belated) Photo Diary

(Quite) a while back, around the same time that I went to Joshua Tree, I visited a new favorite (Coachella Valley) and an old favorite (Palm Springs) over the course of a long weekend. The reason for that visit was the Desert X exhibition that had been happening around the desert at that time. While I’m way late to the game telling you guys about this, Desert X was an event in the spring of 2017, in which artists set up various interactive exhibits around the California desert. These aimed to capture the beauty of the landscape, and to expose visitors to unique, sometimes strange (and underground bunker with a Ronald Reagan statue) experiences. I had a wonderful time, and was of course snapping photos the entire time. Here are some of my favorites from my time in the California Desert.

P.S. – For those who missed the first Desert X run in 2017, it’s taking place again in spring 2019! Details here.
